Autumn Fair Saturday 15 September
We had so many generous donations, some of which have been retained for the Indulgence Evening on Saturday 24 November. There were so many beautiful books and toys being sold and games organised by eager pupils, some amazingly decorated cakes and completely unexpected I imagine, so many parents joining in the Juniors country dancing with such enthusiasm and energy!
Thanks to all the staff, both former and current, for their support. Absolutely every member of the academic staff was involved and vocational staff popped in when they were not teaching. Special thanks to Miss Monique for organising the dancing and finally to the PTA Committee for their splendid BBQ and refreshments, the raffle and the very successful Bake-off competition. A big thank you to everyone for making the event so successful and to those parents who have taken the time to email us and say how they enjoyed it. Such feedback is brilliant evidence for inspections! It was a perfect way for new parents and pupils to feel part of the Pattison family (which is exactly what a Year 7 pupil told us).
Dame Goodyver Sisters Friday 14 September
I was delighted that we were once again invited to take part in the Godiva Sisters parade in Coventry City Centre. The Juniors joined in with the parade through Broadgate and the Cathedral Quarter before entertaining the crowds in Priory Gardens with their Circassia Circles dance.
Dame Goodyver’s Daye was a traditional feast day given by the Guild of Cappers and Feltmakers many centuries ago, celebrating ordinary women who have done extraordinary things.
Thank you to those parents who came to support the event.
Upper Infants Toy Museum Visit 14 September
Whilst the Juniors were joining the Goodyver Sisters parade, Mrs Green, Mrs Plastow and the Upper Infant pupils spent an enjoyable morning at The Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, visiting the “Play” exhibition, an “Exploration of Toys, Games & Fun featuring more than 200 items that will wow everyone from young children through to nostalgic adults”
Senior School Team Building 10 September
A team building afternoon for senior pupils in the grounds proved to be not only enjoyable but really helpful enabling newcomers to make friends.
