YEAR 7/8 BOYS TEAM DEBUT IN 6 ASIDE TOURNAMENT

The match was held at St Thomas More School Nuneaton.

The results were: Game 1) 0-2, Game 2) 1-1, Game 3) 4-2. Unfortunately, largely due to other results not going as expected, the team were pipped to second place so had to play in the 3rd place play off and won (Game 4) 7-0! So overall in the tournament, scored 12 conceded 3!

Overall reflections.

The boys were just delighted to have the first ever opportunity to represent the school at football. Mathis made an incredible save in the 7-0 win. It was great to see Isaac running over to congratulate him reflecting the great team spirit. Ismail was superb sweeping up at the back and Zorro was very consistent when he replaced Ismail. Isaac was the goal machine but Lan and Viktor added some very well taken goals as well. Ethan was also very effective in midfield and gave the strikers the support they needed to create the chances.  All 3 of them really put into practice our attacking tactics. Cameron was very solid in goals and made a series of good saves. In 0-2 game and the 1-1 match we had far more chances than the opposition but just sheer bad luck held us back.

Pattisons man of the tournament-Isaac Early

Mr North and myself found the boys to be an absolute credit to the school.  Report by Mr Bath.
