Nine Lessons and Carols
Last night we welcomed parents to our Carol Service at Stoke St Michael’s Church.
We thought we would be having carols by candlelight with the whole area being struck by a power cut shortly after we arrived at the church.
Fortunately, just as the congregation says “For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours”, the power comes back on in the church!
As soon as the lights and sound sytems rebooted, the service continued with excellent readings and singing by all the children.
The eighth lesson was read by Mrs Sanchia Sewell. Mrs Sewell is leaving us after 16 years as the most extraordinary Music Teacher and Choir Mistress. She will be greatly missed.
